As such, the owners did not have any serious complaints about the Lada XRAY salon. And troubles, if they surfaced, they were “treated” very quickly. In particular, a month after the start of sales, a new dashboard with constant instrument lighting was installed on the Lada, insufficiently high-quality glass seals were replaced (the old ones scratched badly).

In frost, it froze and prevented the inclusion of reverse and fifth gears.

Oddly enough, the automated transmission that is installed on the Lada turned out to be very reliable. The only thing that AvtoVAZ did on it was that a new clutch disc was installed on cars with 1.8-liter engines, which made it possible to reduce vibrations and reduce the number of transmission shocks. The products of the AvtoVAZ concern, which for a long time was an occasion for ridicule of motorists, reached a fundamentally new level after the start of sales of the new Lada Vesta sedan. The rear beam was structurally borrowed from Renault Sandero, but since the new hatchback had to conquer high-speed highways, the AvtoVAZ designers decided to increase the track by making the beam 37 mm longer. Due to the springs and shock absorbers, the Lada Xray suspension has become somewhat stiffer, which made it possible to more comfortably hold the car on the track.

The absence of an independent rear suspension, of course, did not give the desired results of the car's behavior on the track, but the classic H-type beam turned out to be a good budget option. It can be represented as a set of two longitudinal (5) and one transverse (4) levers.

In front of the trailing arms are attached to the body on silent blocks. In addition to this, the H-shaped design is able to provide a little freedom to the trailing arms. This creates a "steering" effect, which makes the car more manageable.

If the car has already got a proven platform, then one should not expect any surprising results. And yet, the machine rides through our open spaces, which means that the first breakdowns have gone. Individual cases of destruction of nodes due to marriage or poor-quality assembly are not taken into account.

The owners complain about the “cotton” steering wheel, and the “fuzzy zero” when the steering wheel is returned. After the technical successes of Vesta, these facts seem to be a significant flaw. But you should take into account the increased ground clearance. Stabilizer struts, in which there are no hinges, and mobility is due to rubber inserts, take care of about 35 thousand. The first owners of cars noted the squeaks of rubber products. Now the plant has eliminated some significant shortcomings.
